Sara Arrington Joins Cast of The Divide
Actress Sara Arrington has accepted the role of Sarah Kincaid, the daughter of rancher Sam Kincaid (Perry King) in The Divide. Sara is a wonderful and experienced actress, who, best of all, says she has always wanted to be in a Western.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of a story that is so close to my heart,” she says. “I am humbled to be working with such dedicated and talented storytellers.”
Sara is originally from Michigan, where she was involved in youth theater from a very young age before getting into film and television work. Her long list of film credits includes The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, The Trials of Cate McCall, with Kate Beckinsale, Nick Nolte, and James Cromwell, Savages, directed by Oliver Stone, Safe House, with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds, Cinema Verite, with Diane Lane and Tim Robbins, and Faster, starring Dwayne Johnson. She has also appeared in Earth to Echo and SWAT, among other films.
Sara’s television credits include recurring roles on the Edge of Normal and E-Ring and guest spots on Cold Case and The Shield. She also boasts a long list of stage credits, including playing Juliet in a Charles Jehlinger Theatre version of Romeo and Juliet. She continues to enjoy the production side of theater as well.
Sara moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career after completing her degree in theatre performance at Western Michigan University. She and her husband, actor/producer Brendan Wayne – grandson of famed actor John Wayne – are the proud parents of three daughters.
Perry was riveted by Sara’s acting skills and how perfectly she fit the role of his daughter in The Divide. Sara told him she connected with the story and knew she wanted to join the cast after reading the script.
“Sara actually looks a lot like my older daughter, Louise, whose personality figures a lot in the character of Sarah in the film,” says Perry. “I think it’s good old serendipity at work again.”
Sara joins Perry King, Bryan Kaplan, Levi Kreis, and Luke Colombero to form the core of the acting ensemble in The Divide, which will begin filming in Northern California next month.
